  1. No one believes in ‘organised religion’. Adherents believe in the articles of faith of an organised religion. On the other hand, only lunatics who deny realities, like the crimes of murder and vandalism, or the existence of sunlight, would deny that large bodies of people follow common creeds and worship their different ideas of deity in various types of fane, like churches, synagogues, temples, shrines and also mosques. Not believing in something that one doesn’t like or approve doesn’t stop it existing unless you’re an egocentric lunatic like Humpty Dumpty who gave words any meaning he wanted them to have. Like him, their stupidity is ‘impenetrable’.

      That’s a good point; I believe in God, and in the articles of the Christian faith; that makes me a Christian, and my religion Christianity, but it doesn’t mean I believe in ‘religion’, which is nebulous and abstract, except in the particular.
