  1. Wow—it shows that a few American judges aren’t retarded anyway.

This is a serious setback for the progs, because now there is precedent to challenge to court bans in other districts as well. It looks like it might be headed to the US Supreme Court—recently the US Supreme Court has been fairly sympathetic to states’ rights.

If SCOTUS looks at it objectively—and admittedly this is a big ‘if’—there is no federal law defining marriage; hence it devolves on the States to define it; and states are not required to recognize other state’s laws. For example, if I married a 16 y/o in a state where the AOC was recognized as 16, then moved to a state where the AOC was 18, the second state may not recognize it as a legal marriage.

(Guys with younger wives beware, check the state laws before deciding to move—lol)

    • Oh good! Let us pray that indeed, such challenges arise.

Yikes! Yes, better check the laws of each state – perhaps better to wait a couple years, to be safe. 😉

    • Great news, indeed!

Yes; the Southern Baptists and other evanjellyfish who seek ‘common ground’ need to get their heads out of the ground, or wherever else they’re putting them…
